Ms. Vicente, 1st Vice-President Elect of the Stann Creek Ecumenical Student Council, is a student in her 3rd year of Science 1 and has been on the honor roll for the past years at Ecumenical College. She ran for the position of 1st Vice- President of the student body to be a leader and a voice for the students who cannot speak up for themselves. Ms. Vicente's goals, now that she has been elected, are to have more extracurricular activities, such as clubs and dances, and to add more different sports like softball, so students can be more involved and want to come to the school more.

According to Ms. Vicente, a good leader should possess positive energy at all times, and she thinks she embodies this quality. She plans to involve and engage the student body in school events and activities by having more fun events, such as Pajama Day. She believes that these events will make the student body want to come to school more, leading to higher attendance rates and better grades.

To balance her academic responsibilities with her responsibility as 1st Vice-President of the student council, Ms. Vicente plans to schedule her time efficiently. She intends to ensure that every student's voice is heard and respected in the student council's decision-making process by opening an opinion box where students can write what they want the school to change, and she will read each paper.

Ms. Vicente believes that the school is facing challenges such as a lack of snack options in the cafeteria and students dealing with depression, anxiety, and social anxiety due to COVID. As 1st Vice-President Elect, she plans on addressing these challenges by advocating for more snack options in the cafeteria and supporting students dealing with mental health issues."
