Francis Arana: From Track Star to Assistant Treasurer


Francis Arana, a student from the class of 1 Woodye, has recently been elected as the  Assistant Treasurer of the Stann Creek Ecumenical Student Council. Despite his passion for sports, Francis has taken on a new role as a leader in his institution.

 

In an interview, Francis shared his aspirations for the student council, stating that he wants to represent the voices of the students and ensure that their opinions are heard in the decision-making process. With his financial literacy skills, Francis is confident that he can effectively assist with managing the student council's finances.

 

As the Assistant Treasurer, Francis plans to involve the students in the financial decisions of the council. He believes that every student should have the opportunity to voice their opinion and choose the treasurer who will take care of their money for events and other fees.

 

In addition to his role as the Assistant Treasurer, Francis also sees the need to address the financial challenges facing the school's track and field program. He believes that the school is having financial issues and plans to tackle them by spending less and exploring opportunities for outside jobs or businesses to raise money for the school.

 

Francis also shared his views on the qualities that a good leader should possess, emphasizing honesty, loyalty, and kindness. He believes that loyalty is essential because it is essential to have leaders who are committed to serving their constituents.

 

Despite being an honor roll student and a member of the track and field team, Francis is determined to balance his academic responsibilities with his responsibilities as a member of the student council. He knows that it won't be easy, but he is confident that he can manage these challenges.With his determination and leadership skills, Francis Arana is an inspiration to young leaders who want to make a difference in their school and community.
